Funeral March of a marionette. Charles Gounod.

 Is a short piece by Charles Gounod. It was originally written for solo piano in 1872 and orchestrated in 1879.

Storyline about "Funeral March of a Marionette":

·         The Marionette has died in a duel.

·         The funeral procession commences.

·         A central section depicts the mourners taking refreshments before returning to the funeral march

CHARLES GOUNOD (1818-1893) was a French composer. His mother was his first piano teacher. When he showed their talent when to Paris Conservatoire. Gounod wrote many different kind of pieces but he is best known today for his operas Faust Romeo and et Juliette and, especially, for the very popular "Ave María".
